Having won her bumper impressively and subsequently finishing 4th beaten just 5L in a Listed bumper we hoped Rock Sensation would take high rank in the mares novice hurdle division. However that wasn’t to be the case as her hurdling career started with an ‘unseat’ at Hereford followed by a below par effort on rain softened ground at Lingfield.
It was decided to give her a decent break, get her back to Hagg Hill for some ‘Fehily TLC’ and from there we’ve seen improvement.
Now with Nick Scholfield it’s been pleasing to see Rock Sensation gradually build some confidence and jump much better. Kudos to Nick as he’s put in plenty of work on the schooling ground. Now handicapped it’s hoped this talented mare can exploit her mark when returning in the autumn. We’ve not lost any faith in her ability.
