6 year Old Bay Mare
Sire: Urban Poet (USA)
Dam: Killiney Gold (IRE)

Trained by: Noel Williams

This 6 year old mare finished a close third on Point-to-point debut at Nenagh, having made the running and showed an excellent display of jumping. Once back at Hagg Hill Farm we have found her to be a kind, honest mare who confirmed her aptitude for jumping when schooled. She is the type who can hit the ground running, whether it be in a bumper or over hurdles in the Autumn. We are delighted to have Noel Williams on the team, who does particularly well with mares.

4 year Old Bay Gelding
Sire: Walk In The Park (IRE)
Dam: Synthe Davies (IRE)

Trained by: Alan King

Helnwein represents the same vendor who sold the subsequent Cheltenham festival winner Samco through this sale, and his latest offering at this sale, Helnwein, comes fresh from a pleasing debut at Dromahane just last Sunday. Always positioned to the fore, he posted a very polished display for a first competitive outing, remaining with a share of the lead until dropping into third as the final fence approached. In the end he was only beaten by six length. The winner made 400K and the 2nd 120K and both Noel and David feel they have bought well here haven sat on him.

5  year Old Bay Gelding
Sire: Kamsin (GER)
Dam: Louvadeus Has (FR)

Trained by: Fergal O Brien

A very tough debut winner of his maiden at Loughrea where he had to fend off a very determined challenge from the talented Winchmore Hill (Sold for 150K at the same sales) who was a very strongly supported debutante in this race. This was the fastest time of the day clocking fifteen seconds faster than the average time on the card and provided a terrific finish. The leading contenders had to show speed and resilience to emerge to the fore here as it was a most competitively fought contest. His sire was a six times winner and a Group 1 Classic winner and his dam is also a winner suggesting this is a page that relentlessly delivers quality winners.Noel and David feel Fergal O Brien will suit this horse down to the ground and he should be a horse too crack on with next season.

Piper Tom

4 year Old Bay Gelding
Sire: Presenting (IRE)
Dam: Fly Town (IRE)

Trained by: Jonjo O Neill

An outstanding individual who caught the eye of all racegoers in the ring at Ballycrystal before going on to finish a fine third in a very competitive maiden. In extreme conditions it was encouraging to see him battle so well and tackle the challenge with the enthusiasm he showed suggesting he is a horse to have on your side for the big days. He is from the family of Champagne Native and being out of a Turtle Island mare suggests he is one for the winter campaing. Noel and David sat on him after the sales and are delighted to have secured him and think Jonjo is the right man to train him.

Major Fortune

4 year Old Bay Gelding
Sire: Soldier Of Fortune (IRE)
Dam: Numero Huit (IRE)

Trained by: Tom Lacey

Noel and David have recently purchased this lovely 4 year old by Soldier Of Fortune closely related to some very good horses such as Festive Affair, Merry Gale and Racing Demon.Unraced horses are not what is usually bought but having both sat on him, both were very impressed and felt he is a horse that is ready to kick on with and great value. He has already been schooled over fences by David and has loads of scope. The team are also delighted to have Tom Lacey on the team as his results are very good and Noel rode a winner or two for him in his day.

Hitching Jacking

5 year Old Bay Gelding
Sire: Honolulu (IRE)
Dam: Omirande (FR)

Trained by: Dan Skelton

Hitching Jacking is a lovely big horse who moves well and showed a great attitude in finishing 2nd in his only Point-to-point. He looks the type that will improve with age. He will start off in bumpers before progressing over hurdles but chasing will definitly be his game. He is a very similar type to ‘Riggs’ and both Noel and David feel Dan’s the man to train him.

Mount South

5 year Old Bay Gelding
Sire: Well Chosen (GB)
Dam: Hurry Up Helen

Trained by: Ian Williams

Mount South is a very nice, mature 4 year old and had a very good run at Naven when finishing 3rd in a very competive bumper. He certainly looks a surefire winner and has already schooled very well. He ran at the start of December and we won’t be waiting too long before getting out and hopefully into the winners enclosure. We have been on the lookout for a horse that would be suitable to have in training with Ian and think this gelding fits the bill.

Royale Dance

5 year Old Bay Mare
Sire: Muhathir
Dam: Sky Royale

Trained by: Dan Skelton

Royale Dance was purchased at the recent Cheltenham HIT Sales. She is a big mare who impressed with the way she travelled and jumped in dead heating in her point to point. She is by a very good sire and the dam side has a serious amonut of black type. Noel and David both sat on her and think she will make a beautiful chaser in time . Dan Skelton will train her as he has a great record with mares and she will suit his way of training.

Melk Abbey

6 year Old Bay Mare
Sire: Sholokhov IRE
Dam: Carrig’n May

Trained by: Henry De Bromhead

Noel and David have been on the look out for a mare to have in training with Henry De Bromhead, and all agree this is an ideal type. This 5 year old is a particularly strong looking mare. She won her maiden Point-to-Point impressively on her second start. Once back at Hagg Hill Farm, having put her through her paces, Noel found her to move particularly well and is excited to see her progress and improve. Owners enjoyed a fun- packed trip to Ireland in Octobe to see the mare on the gallops and incorporated a days racing and a yard visit to Willie Mullins, where Noel Fehily Racing Syndicates also have a horse in training. ‘Melk Abbey’ has had her debut run for the syndicate at Navan, where she was found to be outpaced over 2 1/2 miles. She will step up in trip on softer ground next time.

5 year Old Bay gelding
Sire: Falco (FR)
Dam: Alinga’s Lass

Trained by: Paul Nicholls

This well put together gelding won a Maiden Point-to-point on debut at Ballingarry. Having ran quite green and won on ability he is a very appealing prospect for the future. He is now in training with Champion trainer with Paul Nicholls who will no doubt extricate his full potential. He is reportedly cantering away nicely at home with the aim to run in a Bumper towards the end of December.

Stormin Crossgales

5 year Old Bay gelding
Sire: Sageburg (IRE)
Dam: Nodelay (IRE)

Trained by: Tom George

This eye- catching athletic gelding was secured at the Goffs HIT Sale. He has had a great introduction to racing, finishing 3rd on his only Point-to-Point start in Ireland. Having been put through his paces under saddle by Noel, it is clear he is a big, rangy type who will benefit from a summer at grass to mature both physically and mentally. Having got a feel for the horse Noel and David agreed Tom George would be the man to train this gelding, who’s facilities and regime should suite. The plan is to run in Bumpers this year, before progressing over hurdles. He is reportedly doing everything easily at home, having settled into the routine and showing a pleasing attidtude. ‘Stormin Crossgales’ had his first run of the season at Exeter at the start of December. Going into the race, it was always important to get the horse settled. He showed plenty of promise finishing mid field and with a positive experience under his belt will improved upon it.

5yr Old Bay Mare
Sire: Soldier Of Fortune
Dam: Stand in Line

Trained by: Willie Mullins

Noel and David have been looking out for a suitable mare to have in training with Ireland’s Champion Trainer Willie Mullins. ‘Brookline’ is a good sized mare, standing at 16.2hh who has had two runs over hurdles finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively, showing plenty of promise. Having had a summer break at grass the mare has returned to Ireland to rrsume training. Willie is aiming to have her ready to run shortly which will hopefully coincide with the arrival of softer ground, which should suite.

All shares now sold.

Love Envoi

6yr Old Bay Mare
Sire: Westerner
Dam: Love Divided

Trained by: Harry Fry

Noel Fehily Racing Syndicates are delighted to have secured this 5 year old mare from the Tattersalls Cheltenham March Sale. She was picked out on paper having won a bumper in good style on debut at Wexford. On viewing the mare her size and strength were impressive and she was seen to move well in hand. Following a summer break the mare has resumed training with Harry Fry, who has reported she is schooling well at home. As an unbeaten bumper winner she is an exciting prospect for the season. ‘Love Envoi’ made her seasonal debut for the syndicate at the start of December. She won impressively, despite pulling hard for much of the race. We are all looking forward to getting her out again towards the end of the month.

Whenthepennydrops (GB)

6yr old Bay Mare
Sire: Kayf Tara
Dam: Subtilty

Trained by Dan Skelton

This eye-catching Kayf Tara mare was introduced to the track with a lovely run in an Ascot bumper in February. Having sat on the mare, Noel and David really liked her movement and attitude, though her jumping impressed the most. She is a good-sized mare who has the scope to jump fences in time. The mare has benefited from a summer break and we are expecting plenty of improvement from her in the coming season. This mare had her first run for us at Bangor early November and progressed to finish 4th at Southwell on her next start, not beaten far. We’re excited to see how she advances next time out in a Novice hurdle.

Callisto’s King (IRE)

5 yr old Bay Gelding
Sire: Imperial Monarch
Dam: Exit Bob

Trained by Dan Skelton

Noel and David sat on this gelding and really liked the way he moves, jumps, and most importantly gallops. As he was purchased unnamed the Owners have had the additional fun of naming him, with some remarkably interesting names being put forward, but ‘Callisto’s King’ was voted the winner. This young individual has looked very smart throughout his homework at Dan Skelton’s. As he was nearing a run Dan felt the horse had done enough and thought the best plan for him would be to give him a break, for the horse to develop and mature over the summer physically, putting him in great stead for the coming season. He has since resumed training and made his debut in a Bumper at Ffos Las, running a lovely race. He will be out again around mid December and will progress as the season goes on, hopefully winning a Bumper.

Riggs (IRE)

yr old Bay Gelding
Sire: Mahler
Dam: Cousin Kizzy

Trained by Dan Skelton

Noel and David both sat on Riggs at Dan Skelton’s yard before the Goff’s HIT Sales in September 2020 and loved him straight away. Having followed him to the sales they were lucky enough to get top bid for this cracking gelding. This lovely type ran consistantly last season winning at Uttoxeter and had a number of placings in competitive races. He had a great run at Aintree first time out this season, which put him spot on for his first big target- a grade 3 handicap at Haydock and what a race he ran in finishing 2nd and giving his all.

Come On Teddy (IRE)

8yr old Bay Gelding
Sire: Fame And Glory
Dam: Theatre View

Trained by Tom George

‘Come On Teddy’ is a beautiful looking horse who had a rating of 128 when joining the team. He has the stamp of a chaser and is bred for the job. He has taken time to come to hand but has improved with every run. This gelding has provided several highlights for the team, winning at the December Cheltenham meeting last year and going on to finish 3rd at the Festival. Teddy then made his chasing debut at Uttoxeter on Tuesday the 7th and surprised the team by winning on his chasing debut which should lead to bigger things over the coming months.

Rookie Trainer (IRE)

8 yr old Bay Gelding
Sire: Golden Falcon (IRE)
Dam: Crazy Falcon (IRE)

Trained by Neil Mulholland

Noel and David viewed Rookie Trainer in April last year having liked his profile. On seeing him in the flesh and trying him under saddle he was bought on the spot.
He won his second start in an Irish Point-To-Point and was subsequently sold at Cheltenham sales for 70K. The horse he beat made 175K at the same sales. Top trainer Neil Mulholland took over the training after a couple of runs in England. For his first run for Noel Fehily Racing he returned to Fontwell and ran a lovely race to win for the team- A great start for his new Owners! He backed this up with another two wins under his belt last season. He is still viewed to be a chaser in the making and all the team are excited to see what he has to offer this season. ‘Rookie’ made his seasonal debut in November at Huntington in a handicap chase over 2m3f. Although outpaced much of the race he showed a great attitude and jumped well to stay on for 4th. He will step up in trip with the aim to run in a 2m7f race at Taunton this month.

All share now sold.

Forever Des Long (FR)

7yr old Bay Gelding
Sire: Blue Bresil (FR)
Dam: Fetuque Du Moulin (FR)

Trained by Philip Hobbs

‘Forever Des Long’ is a flashy individual who has improved massively with each run. He finished an eye-catching 2nd at Ludlow last season (The Winner ‘Night Edition’ went on to finish 2nd at The Cheltenham Festival).
Philip took him to Hexham for his first run for the team with high expectations. It was obvious something was amiss due to the poor performance which can be frustrating for all concerned. He underwent investigative veterinary treatment once back at the yard to diagnose and treat any issue’s effecting his performance.
Philip has taken his time with the horse ensuring he was back to full health before his next race. Once Philip was happy with the gelding at home, he was unable to get a run due to getting balloted out and meetings being called off due to Covid which meant he ran in a jumper’s bumper at Kempton. He ran a nice race, beaten less than 2 lengths which set him up nicely for his next run over hurdles. Richard Johnson was delighted with his run at Ludlow finishing 2nd. The horse backed up this run at Fontwell 3 weeks later, again finishing a close 2nd. Following a summer break the gelding is being aimed to make his seaonal debut early December. We’re all hopeing he can get his head in front this season.

Revels Hill (IRE)

yr old Bay Gelding
Sire: Mahler (GB)
Dam: Chlolo Supreme (IRE)

Trained by Harry Fry

Revels Hill is a smashing horse who won his point to point in February last year. He is an exciting type who should make a chaser in time. The gelding finished last season strongly when winning a handicap at Warwick. Whilst still believed to be maturing physically he is expected to develop over the summer with the best of him still to come when he progresses over fences. Following a summer break ‘Revels Hill’ made his seasonal debut at Weatherby. With limited oportunities, due to his rating, he started in a handicap chase. Having been dropped 1lb for his efforts he will now be eligible for 0-120 Novice handicap chases which will give him more options.

I’d Better Go Now (IRE)

9 yr old Bay Gelding
Sire: Alkaadham (GB)
Dam: Pohutakawa (FR)

Trained by Dan Skelton

Prior to purchase by Noel Fehily Racing this gelding had a win under his belt in a race at Wincanton since receiving a handicap mark. What Noel and David liked about this horse is that he is a good size, will jump fences and is a progressive sort. He made his debut in the syndicate’s colours at Doncaster during Cheltenham week and won under David Crosse. Following a short break he made it 2/2 with a win at Perth. He has been a cracking horse for connections, finishing off the season with another win at the Ayr Festival. Unfortunately, due to an injury sustained during the race he will need some time off the track. He is making pleasing progress and if rehabilitation continues in the right direction we would be aiming to run him towards the end of the season.

Muckamore (IRE)

8yr old Bay Gelding
Sire: Sholokhov (IRE)
Dam: Gales Return (IRE)

Trained by Nigel Twiston-Davies

‘Muckamore’ is a scopey horse who has enormous potential as a chaser. As a successful pointer his future lies over fences. Last season he ran 3 times and finished second to some smart sorts. ‘Muckamore’ then bolted up at Taunton under Sam Twiston-Davies in March, providing the syndicate with a satisfying first winner.
He summered well and made his chasing debut in November.  Following a short break subsequent runs at Exeter and Leicester did not displayed this horse’s true potential. The decision was made to finish him for the season early and give him a long summer break. Having returned to training he had been going very well at home and duly won first time up at Weatherby giving his owners a special win for showing their loyalty.

Isolate (FR)

6yr old Bay Gelding
Sire: Maxios (GB)
Dam: Unaided (GB)

Trained by Alan King

Having started his career with a flat trainer this eye-catching gelding didn’t make his debut until he was a 3 year old- you can see why as he is a lovely big, rangy horse. He ran a mighty race first time out over hurdles – finishing second at Doncaster (despite being quite keen). Due to Covid he did not run again last season and started this year by finishing 3rd at Bangor. With that run under his belt and the freshness taken out of him, he ran an exciting race to win in style at Taunton. Under a penalty, his run was at Leicester where he proved to handle the soft ground to win well. ‘Isolate’ has proved a cracking horse for the season having won twice and run in some high value handicaps at Ascot and Sandown. ‘Isolate’ won first time out on his seasonal debut at Kempton. He went up 5lbs for the win and went back at Kempton for a handicap chase but reached for the fourth last fence which winded him. fingers crossed we can get back on track next time.

Pride Of Lecale (GB)

11 yr old Bay Gelding
Sire: Multiplex (GB)
Dam: Rock Gossip (IRE)

Trained by Fergal O’Brien

‘Pride’ was the first horse Noel and David bought providing an exciting start, winning first time out at Market Rasen last November. After his next run at Newbury, he was given the rest of the season off having picked up a slight injury. As a good will gesture the syndicate secured ‘Goodbye Dancer’ on a free lease basis for the owners to enjoy- which they did in style with a win at Cheltenham!
‘Pride of Lecale’ is looking great and ready to make his seasonal debut off a good mark as soon as the rain arrives.

10 yr old Bay Gelding
Sire: Dragon Dancer (GB)
Dam: Maribia Bella (FR)

Trained by Fergal O’Brien

Goodbye Dancer also WON first time out for The Noel Fehily Racing Syndicate (01) on 13th December 2019 at CHELTENHAM – the home of jumps racing. He went back there again on New Year’s Day and was going to win again but came down at the last. This gave my owners the ultimate dream of not just having a runner but also a winner at the home of jump racing.

A Syndicate For Your Friends

About Noel Fehily

Noel started his riding career as an amateur in Ireland and rode approximately 80 Point-to-Point winners before coming across the pond to Charlie Mann Racing in 1998.   Noel was crowned ‘Champion Conditional Jockey’ three years later in 2001.

Noel rode his first Grade 1 winner for Charlie Mann on Air Force One at Punchestown in 2008 and then went on to ride twenty seven Grade 1 winners and 1353 winners overall during his career.

Noel has been lucky enough to ride two Champion Hurdle winners, a Champion Chase winner , two King George winners, two Betfair Bowl winners, a Tingle Creek winner and many more big race winners since he started.  Thought by many to be the best jockey in the business – a phenomenal judge of pace, with the quietest hands – the racing world was devastated when Noel announced his weighing room retirement at the end of last season.  In typical Fehily fashion, Noel went out on a high; winning the last race at Newbury on the day of his retirement.

The weighing room’s loss is most certainly a massive gain for those that get involved in Noel’s inaugural syndicate.

“Throughout my riding career I’ve always been extremely interested in the breeding and Bloodstock side of the industry, and now I’ve retired from riding I’m concentrating on that side of things as well as breaking and pre-training young horses.” – Noel Fehily

About David Crosse

David hails from Co Tipperary in Ireland. He learned to ride at the age of thirteen and at fifteen he did a year working with champion trainer Willie Mullins.  With over fifteen licensed jockeys there he decided to move over to England where there would be more opportunities and more racing.

David joined Trainer Charlie Mann and met Noel Fehily who was Charlie’s stable jockey at the time. Having spent the first few months living in a caravan he moved in to Noel’s house and they have been friends ever since.  Three years later he was crowned Champion Amateur by riding over 21 winners, including a winner at the Cheltenham Festival on The Bushkeeper for trainer Nicky Henderson.

After that season David turned Conditional and after riding out his claim (75 winners) he became a professional jockey.

Injuries are part of the game and David has had more than his fair share and has broken most of the major bones in his body several times over!

Despite all of this David still has the fire burning in his belly and recently rode his 200 career winner.
