"She has been fantastically consistent winning loads of prize money over fences where she enjoys the smaller fields compared to hurdling. Last season was very successful, Moviddy won a valuable Wincanton chase so I'll be aiming to do the same again. There is plenty to be optimistic about" Noel Williams - Trainer

Moviddy has been an absolute superstar having won over £55k for her owners yet she cost just £25k.  And there should be more to come even at 10yo for her owners Judy Wignall and Frank Abbott.

Moviddy was a little underwhelming in the first half of the season but we remained hopeful history would repeat itself as she was far better after New Year in 2025.

This proved to be the case as she ran with great credit in the £50k Queen Boudica Mares H’Cap Chase Final at Fakenham on January 18th.  At the head of affairs from the off Moviddy set some quick early fractions and did by far the best of those ridden prominently with a game 3rd place. She again finished 3rd over the same C&D (13th Feb) when finding the ground too soft/heavy – surely it has to stop raining soon – but she jumped well under Jack Hogan and gave her best.

In late March trainer Noel Williams entered Moviddy into the same Wincanton 3m Mares Handicap Chase that she won in 2025.  Again she ran well but was soundly beaten 23L by the very well handicapped Taxus Baccata who has thrived for her new yard.  Moviddy jumped nicely bar one (customary) mistake mid race but Jack Hogan said it didn’t effect the result.  Here next run at Fakenham (13th April) was a disaster as her jumping went to pot, she made several errors on the first circuit and was pulled up.  A rare bad run, maybe it was the first time blinkers or just an off day.
