Millstatt Abbey had a really impressive first season under rules. She duly won her debut bumper at Uttoxeter on New Year’s Eve by nine lengths and then ran an excellent second in a Listed Bumper at Sandown to collect some ‘Black Type’.
Despite being beaten we left Sandown happy as there were several winners behind and she showed an admirable attitude on typically deep Esher ground.
This season she’ll go hurdling and we hope to see her take high rank in the Mares Novice division. She’ll stay well, loves cut in the ground and is a very exciting mare.
