Frost Moon

Trained by Dan Skelton

FORM 04-3 OR –

"Frost Moon had a nice enough debut season in bumpers but she badly needs to jump hurdles and in time we'll see her over a fence. She'll improve quite a bit now we're going jumping." Dan Skelton

Frost Moon ran acceptably in two bumpers but is bred to improve with maturity over the next couple of seasons. Dan Skelton was consistent throughout her debut year in saying she needs a hurdle.  That time has come and she should also improve for having some racing experience.

She made a very pleasing hurdles debut (21st Oct, Worcester) to run 3rd in what Dan Skelton felt was an above average 2m Mares Maiden for the time of year. Harry said she was a bit fresh early but jumped well bar one small mistake at halfway and encouragingly ran hard through the line.  The winner and second stepped on the gas from three out, Frost Moon couldn’t quite go with them so Harry accepted his fate from there.

Both Dan and Harry felt chasing would be her forte further down the line but she’ll win races over hurdles beforehand. It was a lovely first effort and gives a very sound foundation on which to build her season.
