Delta Blues Belle

Trained by Dan Skelton

FORM -000010- OR – 102

"She did well and won nicely at Huntingdon which was pleasing. I think she'll improve further when jumping a fence and racing over an extended trip. I'm hopeful she'll progress throughout the season." Dan Skelton

Delta Blues Belle took time to warm to the job in her first season over hurdles but everything fell into place at Huntingdon when winning impressively under Harry.  The handicapper gave her a hefty 10lbs rise so Dan was forced to ‘roll the dice’ by running with a penalty but the race came too soon.

There is a lot of belief Delta Blues Belle can flourish with the experience of her debut season under her belt. She’ll get an extended trip, loves some cut and  will certainly jump a fence.  Hopefully the owners will have plenty of fun throughout the winter.

About the Trainer

Dan Skelton

Dan Skelton has rapidly established himself as one of the leading trainers in National Hunt racing. Based in Warwickshire, Skelton began his career working under Paul Nicholls, where he honed his skills before setting up his own yard in 2013. In a relatively short time, Skelton has made a significant impact on the sport, training multiple winners at the Cheltenham Festival and other major meetings. Known for his sharp strategic approach and excellent race planning, he’s developed a reputation for getting the best out of his horses, particularly in big handicaps. His yard is also noted for its strong team ethic, with his brother Harry Skelton, a top jockey, often partnering their best horses. Skelton’s ability to build a competitive stable so quickly has made him a force in jumps racing.
