Helnwein

Trained by Alan King

FORM -513-12421-244302- 2202U-4    OR 130

"Helnwein continues to run well. I'll speak with the team but he's a horse who goes well fresh so I'd like to consider another tilt at the Greatwood Hurdle in November. He's only a pound higher than when finishing 2nd to the well handicapped Alexei last year. We also have the option of going back over fences at some stage." Alan King

Without winning Helnwein had another good season in very competitive two mile handicap hurdles but is a victim of his own consistency.  He started the season on a handicap mark of 129 and finished on 130 after a string of placed efforts that earned plenty of prize money. He won nearly £50,000 for his owners this term – his career total is now an impressive £138,000.

Hopefully he’ll continue to give his owners a lot of good days and get his head in front.  Helnwein may start over hurdles but we have the option of going back over a fence at some stage.
