Shares For Sale

Noel and David look for horses at every major thoroughbred sale throughout the year.

No stone is left unturned with regard to the preparation into seeking out ideal candidates to add to the team. Uniquely having both been jockeys they are able to sit on the horses, assess ability and judge who would be the best trainer for your horse.

Our aim is to accommodate an array of budgets, where purchases range from £30,000 to £150,000. Shares are sold at 10% of the horse’s cost price followed by a monthly management fee, starting from £329 per month based on a two year contract.

HARZWOOD

10% = £8,700

Trainer: GARY & JOSH MOORE

On debut, this 4-y-o gelding produced an extremely impressive display when winning comfortably by six and a half lengths at Ballindenisk. He was always travelling strongly and jumping soundly at the head of affairs. In the latter stages Harzwood’s sharp turn of foot proved decisive as it allowed him to stylishly quicken clear of his rivals from two out under hand and heels riding. It was a performance that created a striking impression so we were keen to make a purchase when seeing his name in the Tattersalls (Fairyhouse) May Sale.

There is no doubt Harzwood has all the attributes needed to have a very successful career under rules.  A horse we adore and one that looks to be a gorgeous staying chaser longer term. Gary & Josh Moore will be training him and they will be a perfect fit.

POWER STEERING

10% = £8,700

Trainer: HARRY FRY

This attractive strong 4-y-o gelding is extremely well bred being a half-brother to 4 winners including the Grade 1 winner Battleoverdoyen and +140 rated chaser Treacle Tart.  On bumper debut at Ballinrobe he was just denied by the more experienced ‘ Gavin Cromwell trained’ runner who got a serious run up the inside but certainly lost nothing in defeat.

Given he ran a touch green Power Steering created a favourable impression by travelling strongly and showing a very willing attitude when pressure was applied. He was given a rating of 110 which is good enough to win most bumpers.

He is a tall athletic horse that jumps particularly well. Chasing will be his ultimate game in time and we like him a lot. Harry Fry will be the man to train and steer the ship.

WHISKEYONTHEROCKS

10% = £7,000

Trainer: HARRY FRY

Had made her debut in a four-year-old mares’ maiden at Ballyragget that usually throws up a number of nice individuals having had to settle for third on that occasion, in particularly heavy ground, the switch to drier conditions at Curraghmore (5th April) appeared to be a big plus for her.

The daughter of Doyen put that experience to good use as she powered clear approaching the final fence to run out a easy four-length winner in the manner of a horse ready to make an immediate impact on the track.

We love this mare and think she has a very bright future.
